This year's race will take place Sunday, April 3rd, and takes runners on a unique course that winds through the Windy City's famous loop and finishes in Grant Park. Here are links for must-know information for running the 2016 Shamrock Shuffle 8K:

The eight-kilometer (4.97) race packet includes a Nike race shirt, sunglasses, & a drink ticket for a beer at the post-race party (assuming you're 21 or over).

2014 Chicago Marathon - [RESULTS] Runner Tracking, Course Map, & More

See details on the 2014 Chicago Marathon below, including runner tracking.

The 2014 Chicago Marathon takes place Sunday, Oct. 12th, and here are some details you'll want to know to be fully prepared for the race.

First off, you'll want to sign up for runner tracking. This lets you have your split times posted to your Twitter feed or Facebook account, or sent to your mobile phone as text messages. And get familiar with the Chicago Marathon course, race rules, aid stations, and more:

• race results page (check here when race is underway)

2014 Shamrock Shuffle 8K - Race Results

St. Patrick's Day was almost a couple of weeks ago, but the annual Shamrock Shuffle 8K race was held in Chicago on Sunday, March 30th. You can find the Shamrock Shuffle results here, or rather, live results, since the race was recently completed at the time of this posting.

You can check the leaderboard to see who the top finishers are, or search for individual runners by entering name, bib number, city, or team name into the search box.

Someday I'd like to do the Shamrock Shuffle 8K in Chicago, which despite its name doesn't seem to take place all that close to St. Patrick's Day. In the meantime, here are the 2013 Shamrock Shuffle results.

2012 Chicago Rock & Roll Half Marathon - [RESULTS] July 22nd

[SEE UPDATE BELOW] The 2012 Chicago Rock & Roll Half Marathon is set for today, July 22nd. The action begins at 6:30 a.m. local time, and live results should begin appearing on the race's website soon after.

2012 Chicago Marathon - Registration Open Now!

Forget the groundhog, this week's big news is that registration for the 2012 Chicago Marathon opened on Feb. 1st. (Visit the registration page here.) The race will be closed when the allotment of 45,000 participants has been reached, so don't delay.

The 2012 Chicago Marathon will take place Sunday, October 7th. The entry fee $150 for U.S. participants and $175 for those living outside the U.S.

You can register online, or print a PDF form and mail it in, although I can't imagine why anyone would want to take the time to do snail mail registration in a race that will fill up as quickly as this one.

2011 Chicago Marathon - Race Results

Chicago Marathon race results are up here. Though the site says that these are unofficial results, they should at least give a good idea where runners finished.

Despite warm temperatures, the 2011 Chicago Marathon featured some blazing (and record-setting) performances. Moses Mosop of Kenya set a course record with a time of 2:05:38 to win the men's race, and Lilliua Shobukhova of Russia obliterated the competition, winning the women's division by nearly four minutes and even throwing in a sprint at the end to finish in 2:18:30. It was her third straight Chicago Marathon win.

Congrats to all finishers. If you ran today's Chicago Marathon, what did you think of the race? Were the conditions tough? And were there enough fluids at the aid stations?

2011 Rock and Roll Chicago Half Marathon - Results

You can find 2011 Rock and Roll Chicago Half Marathon results here. At this link you can view results from this year's race and previous years, see photos and videos from the race, and download your finisher certificate.

You can also check out the RaceMyRace simulator, which apparently simulates your race in either 2D (using Google Maps) or 3D (using Google Earth). I've never run a race that uses this, but it sounds like it might be pretty cool.

2010 Chicago Marathon - Registration Now Open!

Registration opened at 12 Midnight on February 1st for the 2010 Chicago Marathon.  The race will take place on October 10th - 10/10/10. You'll find the 2010 Chicago Marathon registration details here, including registration requirements and links for online registration and downloading the entry form to mail in.

2009 Chicago Marathon - Race Results & Live Leaderboard

Results for the 2009 Chicago Marathon are up. You can search for runners, view the live leaderboard, or check out a list of "My Runners" (assuming you've input runners you want to follow).

There are three options for results to view: marathon, wheelchair, and handcycle.
