The Olympians had their day on the streets of Los Angeles Saturday. Now it's time for the everyday runners (and a bunch more elites) to go marathoning on the city's streets in the 2016 Los Angeles Marathon. Check out these links for essential information on Sunday's race:

It's expected to be a hot one for Sunday's L.A. Marathon, and here are some tips and details to know if you're running the race.

Because of the unusually warm weather forecast for race day, organizers have moved the start time up to 6:55 a.m. from the 7:25 time shows in the race's PDF of Final Race Instructions and elsewhere on the website.

Gebo Burka of Ethiopia won the men's division of today's L.A. Marathon, while countrywoman Amane Gobena came in first in the women's race.

2012 L.A. Marathon - Results Page, Course Map, & More

The annual Los Angeles Marathon takes place today, March 18th, and you can find results and other information about the race at its home page, www.lamarathon.com -- if you can get through to the website, that is. Maybe it's the predicted rain, or maybe it's just heavy traffic to the website, but the L.A. Marathon site has been returning "database error" messages and other glitches Sunday morning and afternoon.

2010 L.A Marathon Results

The L.A. Marathon results page is here - but it's been down much of the day, presumably because it's been swamped with traffic from runners trying to get their times. That page has a link to another L.A. Marathon results page, which has a bare-bones "provisional results" search: a simple search box that lets you look up runners by last name or bib number.

I guess at some point this second page will be expanded to show other search options, or the original results page will be beefed up so it can handle the traffic. You can also check the L.A. Marathon home page for further info.
