2015 Boston Marathon - Race Results
![]() |
| See 2015 Boston Marathon results links below. |
Congrats to everyone who completed today's B.A.A. Boston Marathon under cool and rainy conditions. Your winners were Lelisa Desisa of Ethiopia on the men's side, running away with a time of 2:09:17, and Kenya's Caroline Rotich, who pulled away from Mare Dibaba near the finish to cross the finish line at 2:24:55.
Desisa's win was his second in three years. He won in the bombing-scarred Boston Marathon of 2013, and showed his classiness by donating his winning medal to the city of Boston as a sign of solidarity.
The top American finishers were Des Linden, who finished fourth overall in the women's race, and Dathan Ritzenhein, who came in seventh in the men's event. This was a great finish for Ritzenhein, who led the race for a while at one point. It was also a good finish for another male American, as last year's overall winner Meb Keflezighi came in behind Ritz in eighth place, despite having to stop to vomit five times.
And in another unforgettable, classy Meb moment, he found himself running next to American Hilary Dionne near the finish, and took her hand and raised it with his as they crossed the finish. (Dionne was the fourth American woman, and 15th woman overall.)
You'll find these and all results at the official Boston Marathon results list. Several ways to view the results:
- top finishers
- searchable race results
- athlete tracking
- entrant list (searchable by name and bib number)

2015 Cherry Blossom 10-Mile Run* -- Race Results
Congrats to all who ran the annual Credit Union Cherry Blossom races today in Washington, D.C. The marquee event, of course, is the Cherry Blossom 10-Mile Run, but we had to put an asterisk next to it in the title of this post for one simple reason: today's race was more of a 9.5 miler.
As the results page notes, "Due to an emergency, the course was modified and was less than 10 miles. The exact distance will be posted here and results will be modified to the correct distances." The upside is that runners probably set new PRs for the 9.5-mile distance.
You'll find the results page here, or see below for specific results:
