2016 Spring Lake 5 Race Registration - Open Now!
The start of the Spring Lake 5 a few years ago. See registration info for this year's race below. |
Registration is open for the 2016 Spring Lake 5 race at the Jersey shore!
The online sign-up just opened, at 5 a.m. on Feb. 7th, and you can register for the Spring Lake 4 here. The five-mile race takes place May 28th—Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend—at 8:30 a.m. A series of kids' races will also be held; these are listed as 6 p.m. (on Friday the 27th, we'd assume). Registration for the kids' races opens Feb. 15th at 12:01 a.m.
This is one of the most popular races in New Jersey, and always sells out quickly. (The site notes, "Registration ends February 7, 2016 at 11:59pm EST," but the field may well be full before then.) [UPDATE, 1:30 p.m.: Apparently the 2016 Spring Lake 5 is sold out; the website says that online registration is no longer available. BUT: in past years, runners have been able to enter the race by signing up through a number of charities, which involves committing to raise a certain amount of donations for the charity. See the Spring Lake 5 website to find out if this option is available.]
In the meantime, check out the Spring Lake 5 course map.
Registration is now open, so go to the sign up page as soon as you see this. It may only take a few hours to fill up, maybe less than that?
Good luck, and start training now for the 2016 Spring Lake 5!
