2015 Spring Lake 5 - Race Registration Info - Opens Feb. 1st!

2014 Spring Lake 5 start
The scene before the start of the 2014 Spring Lake 5. See how to register for the 2015 race below.

Yes, it's frigid in the Garden State today, but summer can't be that far away: registration for the 2015 Spring Lake 5 begins in just over 12 hours. As always, the race takes place Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend, which this year is May 23rd.

Once again, the best method to apply is through online registration, and it starts at 5 a.m. Eastern time Sunday morning, Feb. 1st. Apparently, there's no special early period for previous years' participants to register, so it's everybody into the pool at 5 a.m., first come, first serve. Registration will close when the capacity of 12,500 is reached (and it won't take long).

See more the website for more Spring Lake 5 registration details.

Go to http://runsignup.com/springlake5 at 5 a.m. to register. The entry fee for the five-mile race is
$40 (plus a $2.50 sign-up fee) and includes a 100% cotton, heavyweight t-shirt. You can also upgrade to a technical, wicking shirt ($46).

There are also kids' races for $15. Registration for this also begins at 5 a.m. on Feb. 1st.

Good luck, and see you at the Jersey Shore on May 23rd!
