The race goes through Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tempe, and online registration is open through January 4th, so act now to get in on this one.
P.F. Chang's Rock and Roll Arizona Marathon is said to be a flat course and it is certified so it would make a good Boston Marathon qualifier. The race lives up to its rock and roll name, too: there will be an estimated 70 bands participating. There's also a free headliner concert after the race starring Kool and the Gang, as well as a race expo on the days before the race.
