Registration opened on April 1st for what is said to be the largest 10 mile race in the country, the Army Ten Miler in Washington, D.C. Find out about registration, the course map, travel and hotel arrangements, the race expo, race weekend events, and more at the official Web site above; I've also pasted some links below.
This year's Army Ten Miler will take place October 5th, and a field of 26,000 runners is expected. The race begins at the Pentagon, which is probably as close as most people will ever get to the famed hub of the Department of Defense.
The Web site says that the race usually sells out in 40 to 60 days, but you'll probably not want to wait till then.
