2013 Brooklyn Marthon - Course Map, Runner Tracking, & More

The Brooklyn Marathon, the first new marathon to be held in NYC in years, celebrates its third edition this Sunday, Nov. 17th, and here is some information you'll want to know whether you're running or watching.

See below for details on the third annual Brooklyn Marathon.

As before, the course consists of nine full or partial loops of Prospect Park (NYCRuns, the organizers, hope to one day move the race out onto the streets). More information:
Where's a good place to watch the Brooklyn Marathon and see the lead runners finish? Here's what NYCRuns head honcho Steve Lastoe advised in an email:
Find a spot not far from the South Brooklyn Running Club water station on West Drive and then head to the finish line when the first runners pass by—you should have about 10 minutes. If you need a little more time than that, the North Brooklyn Runners Station on East Drive should do it.
Good luck to all the runners in the 2013 Brooklyn Marathon. And speaking of new marathons in NYC, NYCRuns will once again be holding its Central Park Marathon and Half Marathon next year, on Feb. 23rd.
