San Francisco Marathon, the only marathon to run on the roadbed of the legendary Golden Gate Bridge, takes place in 2010 on July 25th, and you can find all the details you need to know about the race at the official San Francisco Marathon website.

You can get information on the marathon, half marathon, and other races, including start times, course maps, and more, as well as road closures and traffic changes and spectator information.

You can find San Francisco Marathon LIVE runner tracking here. You can search for specific runners by name or bib number, or view the leaderboard for a specific races at a given time point (such as marathon time at 7.6 miles, half marathon, 20 miles, and finish). You can also find live results for the half marathons and the 5K run.

And check here for a cool Google Maps mashup of the San Francisco Marathon course with an elevation map and a feature that lets you see a view of different points along the course.

Good luck to all participants in the San Francisco Marathon!

Queens Half Marathon - Race Results

See 2011 Queens Half Marathon results here. This year's race took place Saturday, July 30th.

Race results are posted for the NYRR Queens Half Marathon, which was held this hot and steamy morning. As usual, you can view all the results in order, list them by age, gender, etc., or search using particular fields.

The Queens Half-Marathon race statistics say that 3,668 people finished the race (I was one of them), and it was definitely one of the tougher, more uncomfortable races I've ever run.

The good news was that from miles 4 to 8 or so the sky was overcast, giving a break from the sun. And a nice breeze was blowing at various times during the race, offering much-needed relief. Congrats to all finishers on completing the course under some very tough conditions!

Oh, and up next in the five-borough half-marathon challenge is the Bronx Half-Marathon, August 15th.

2010 NYC Triathlon Results Posted

The NYC Triathlon website is back online, and 2010 NYC Tri results are posted here for all categories. Previously only results for pro competitors were listed, but the results page now includes all groupings, such as pro, elite, clydesdale, tri club challenges, etc.

NYC Triathlon: Osaly, R. Wassner Win Steamy NYC Tri; Website Down

Rebeccah Wassner of NYC won her second straight New York City Triathlon today and Filip Osaly of the Czech Republic took the men's division, according to an article posted at Triathlon.competitor.com.

The article says today's NYC Tri was the warmest ever, with the temperature hitting 88 degrees at about 11 a.m. A few running buddies I follow on Twitter have reported that they are "surviving" the race, so although they're having a tough time with the conditions, it sounds like they've all managed to finish.

Unfortunately the NYC Triathlon website, www.nyctri.com, isn't faring as well as the competitors; it's been giving a "Site Unavailable" message all morning. The good news is that the NYC Tri Twitter page, www.twitter.com/nyctriathlon, is working, and updates are being provided there. They say they will continue giving updates via Twitter until the website is back up.

As for NYC Triathlon results, the Twitter account says they will be available this afternoon and the URL for results will be posted on Twitter.
