NYC Triathlon: Osaly, R. Wassner Win Steamy NYC Tri; Website Down

Rebeccah Wassner of NYC won her second straight New York City Triathlon today and Filip Osaly of the Czech Republic took the men's division, according to an article posted at

The article says today's NYC Tri was the warmest ever, with the temperature hitting 88 degrees at about 11 a.m. A few running buddies I follow on Twitter have reported that they are "surviving" the race, so although they're having a tough time with the conditions, it sounds like they've all managed to finish.

Unfortunately the NYC Triathlon website,, isn't faring as well as the competitors; it's been giving a "Site Unavailable" message all morning. The good news is that the NYC Tri Twitter page,, is working, and updates are being provided there. They say they will continue giving updates via Twitter until the website is back up.

As for NYC Triathlon results, the Twitter account says they will be available this afternoon and the URL for results will be posted on Twitter.
