2014 Spring Lake 5 - Race Results
It wasn't exactly summery weather for this year's running of The Spring Lake 5, the Jersey Shore's traditional kick-off to the season, but the cool temps and overcast skies made for perfect running conditions. See the 2014 Spring Lake 5 results here, including overall results and runner look-up and tracking.
The 10,000-participant race felt even larger today, and it took a couple of miles to pass the slower runners (and walkers)--clearly many people started further up in the pack than their pace dictated.
The sun finally did make an appearance in the afternoon, and the shops along 3rd Avenue seemed to be getting a lot of visitors for such an unseasonably cool day.
Congratulations to all participants, and check back with the Spring Lake 5 website periodically for when the sign-up will begin for the 2015 race (typically in January or February).

2014 Brooklyn Half Marathon - Race Results, Runner Tracking
[Update: Brooklyn Half race results are now posted.]
- - - - - - - - - -
The annual Brooklyn Half Marathon took place in the streets and parks of Kings County this morning. While the results are not yet posted online, you may be able to find out how your favorite runners did by checking the runner tracking options page.
The page two choices: TrackMyRunners™, which lets you follow up to 10 runners on the Web on a computer or mobile device, and Text2Follow, which sends you text updates (and which probably won't work at this point since all runners have presumably finished already).
Check the New York Road Runners race results page to see if the Brooklyn Half marathon results have been posted yet. You'll find the results page here.
Congrats to all runners in this year's Brooklyn Half Marathon! It's one of my favorite races of the year, but unfortunately I wasn't able to run it this time.

2014 HoHa Classic - Race Results
It was an unseasonably warm Mother's Day for the 16th annual HoHa Classic five-mile run in Hoboken on Sunday, May 11th. You'll find the 2014 HoHa Classic race results here.
You can view overall results, top men and women, team results, age-group numbers, etc. The men's winner was Hoboken's Sean Swift with a time of 25:59.21, while Kristen Prendergast of Annandale, NJ won the women's division in 30:21.84.
I didn't run one of my better times at this year's HoHa Classic, owing to running a race the day before, but it was a fun run and a great start to the day.
For more information on the race and its sponsor, the Hoboken Harriers running club, see the group's website at HoHa.net for details on running in Hoboken. The club features group runs of varying distances most days during the week.
Congrats to all runners, and Happy Mother's Day!
