If you're running (or watching) the 2011 Chicago Marathon, here is some must-now information you'll want to have. This year's race takes place Sunday, Oct. 9th.

• Sign up for runner tracking on the web until Oct. 8th. You'll get SMS text messages with your runner's progress at 10K, half, 30K, and finish. After the 8th, you can sign up with your phone

According to the Chicago Marathon website, temperatures are forecast to be in the upper 50s in the morning and in the mid to upper 70s in the afternoon. The race has an Event Alert System to keep runners updated with weather-related information; participants might want to learn about this before race time.
