2012 Big Sur International Marathon - Race Results

It took a while, but the Big Sur International Marathon race results are finally online. At the link you'll find results for all the events: the marathon, 21-mile run, 10.6 mile, 9 mile, and 5K, as well as relays, special divisions, and teams.

You can search by name, bib number, etc., or do one-click searches for the overall or male or female results, race winners, masters men, masters women, and age grade listings.

Judging by the photos I've seen of the race and from what past participants have told me, this race has some of the most breathtaking scenery of any marathon. Congratulations to all participants!

2012 Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon - Race Results

The 2012 OKC Marathon is in the books, and you can find results here. You can also see the specific pages for results for the marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, wheelchair marathon, and wheelchair half marathon.

The overall winners were Jake Buhler on the men's side with a time of 2:27:30. The women's winner was Camille Herron in a course-record time of 2:45:13.

The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon was held Sunday, April 29th, 2012. For other information on the race, see the OKC Marathon home page.

Race Results - 2012 Nashville Country Music Marathon & Half Marathon

The St. Jude Country Music Marathon & Half Marathon were held Saturday, April 28th, and you can find the race results here. Simply go to this link and choose the race you want: marathon, half marathon, or mini marathon.

The site says that once you find your results, your photos and finisher certificate will be visible. You can also see last year's Country Music Marathon & Half Marathon results here.

2012 London Marathon - Runner Tracking & Results

The 2012 Virgin London Marathon takes place Sunday, April 22nd, and you can track runners and see results here. Things kick off at 9:00 BST with the elite women's start.

As usual, the Kenyans and Ethiopians will be the top contenders, and former London Marathon champions will be looking to repeat. Elite contenders in the men's race include 2011 winner Emmanuel Mutai and Abel Kirui, both from Kenya, and Tsegaye Kebede of Ethiopia. On the women's side, last year's champion Mary Keitany of Kenya and countrywoman Florence Kiplagat are expected to be among the top bets to win.

Keitany will no doubt be looking to bounce back from her performance in the 2011 New York City Marathon, where she led much of the way but faded very late and had to settle for third place.

Once the race starts and runners start coming in, you can use the London Marathon results page to track runners and see results. You can view all runners or narrow down the field by gender, age group, and other categories, or enter the name of bib number of an individual runner.

2012 Boston Marathon - Searchable Results

Runners are streaming across the finish line, and you can find searchable 2012 Boston Marathon results here. You can search by bib number, name, age group, age group, state, country, etc.

Also, you can check the list of Boston Marathon top finishers here. 

Wesley Korir was the men's winner in 2:12:40, leading a Kenya sweep at the podium. Behind him were Levy Matebo and Bernard Kipyego, with American Jason Hartmann a surprise number-four finisher.

There was Kenyan podium domination in the women's division, too. Sharon Cherop finished first in 2:31:50, just three seconds ahead of Jemima Jelagat Sumgong. Georgina Rono took third. The first American woman was Sheri Piers in 2:41:55.

Congrats to all who ran the 2012 Boston Marathon under conditions that were "challenging," to put it mildly.

Track Runners in the 2012 Boston Marathon

Heat be damned, the 2012 Boston Marathon is off and running, and you can track runners here. At this link you can add runners to your list of people to follow, as well as take a look at the current results (by gender, age group, etc.) You can also take a look at the current leaderboard, and view the map of the course. [Note: the tracking feature available here is pretty bare-bones; it shows only the runner's time at the halfway point and at the finish (net time and gun time), as well as overall place, gender place, and division place.]

This should be a very interesting Boston Marathon, with the race allowing runners to defer to 2013 due to the heat (and many runners apparently taking advantage of it).

2012 Cherry Blossom Run Results

Results are up here for the 2012 Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run in Washington, D.C., which was run today, April 1st. The cherry blossoms are no doubt confused by the early arrival of warm weather, but the runners seemed to manage better than the flowers.
