Monday, April 18th is Patriots' Day in New England, and that means it's Boston Marathon day. Here are some links so you can watch, follow, and track the race:

Online and local TV coverage in the Boston area will be provided by WBZ-TV from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and my38 will re-air the race at 8 p.m. Outside the area, online and national coverage will be on NBC Sports Network.

While the Boston Marathon is the main focus, there are other races this weekend. In the 5K race, Dejen Gebremeskel won the men's race, while Molly Huddle won her third straight B.A.A. 5K title.

Chris O'Hare won the men's B.A.A. Invitational Mile, while Brook Handler took the women's crown.

Track Runners in the 2012 Boston Marathon

Heat be damned, the 2012 Boston Marathon is off and running, and you can track runners here. At this link you can add runners to your list of people to follow, as well as take a look at the current results (by gender, age group, etc.) You can also take a look at the current leaderboard, and view the map of the course. [Note: the tracking feature available here is pretty bare-bones; it shows only the runner's time at the halfway point and at the finish (net time and gun time), as well as overall place, gender place, and division place.]

This should be a very interesting Boston Marathon, with the race allowing runners to defer to 2013 due to the heat (and many runners apparently taking advantage of it).

The Boston Marathon now has an official Twitter account, www.twitter.com/B_A_A_, for updates.

The race has put up a note for European runners entered in the 2010 Boston Marathon, giving additional race bib pick-up times and locations in light of the problems travelers are having getting out of Europe due to volcanic ash. It also tells how to go about entering the 2011 Boston Marathon, for European runners who can't get to Boston in time for this year's race.

Today is Patriots' Day in New England, and that means it's time for the 2009 Boston Marathon. You can watch the Boston Marathon live online at Universal Sports starting at 9:30 a.m.

Temperatures are said to be in the mid 40s in Boston, which should result in fast times.
