Race results are up here for today's Brooklyn Half Marathon. An earlier start and cooler, less humid weather led to a much more pleasant experience than many past runnings of this race. (In particular, I recall it being only about 70 degrees for the 2010 race, but the near 90 percent humidity made for an unexpectedly miserable experience.)
Runners in the biggest-ever Brooklyn Half were greeted by cool temperatures. |
This was the biggest Brooklyn Half ever, with more than 14,000 finishers, according to NYRR results statistics. See the NYRR's brief race recap here.
Besides the usual NYRR race results options, Brooklyn Half finishers can get a digital badge to commemorate their experience. And runners got an actual medal at the finish line, too. Maybe the NYRR was trying to take the sting out of the dramatically higher entry fee ($45 versus $25 the previous year).
Congrats to all finishers of today's Brooklyn Half Marathon!
