More than 20,000 runners will be earning the title of "runner of steel" at the 2012 Pittsburgh Marathon, which takes place Sunday, May 6th. You find links to some of the key information you need to know below, or at the race's website, www.pittsburghmarathon.com.
* Runner tracking: sign up here. According to the race website, "Runner tracking for the Marathon will submit 10K, 13.1 mile and 20 mile splits. Half Marathon runner tracking will submit 10K and 11.2 mile splits"
* Race course: see the marathon and half marathon course maps (PDF file) and the list of fluid and aid stations
* Race results: Check the results page once the marathon and half marathon are underway. (As of Saturday afternoon, the 5K results are available.)

Start time is 7:30 a.m. for runners and walkers in the marathon and half marathon, and 7:20 for the wheelchair division. The races start at Liberty Avenue between Sixth and Seventh Streets in downtown Pittsburgh.
