Thousands of runners will take to the streets of Philadelphia Sunday, May 1st in 2016 Broad Street Run. Whether you're running or watching, get up to speed with all you need to know about the race with these links to essential information:

The website lists a mobile app you can download, but the link to the iOS app says it "can't be downloaded in your country" (the U.S.), and the link to the Android app gives a similar message. We did find this link to the Android app. 

The site doesn't seem to list any other options for tracking runners, but we'll note it here if we run across it.

2015 Philadelphia Marathon - Results

The 2015 Philadelphia Marathon is underway, and you can find results as they come in here. The leaderboard option shows you the top finishers in the race, updates automatically every minute. You can also search for runners by name, bib number, etc.

The winners so far: in the half marathon, Eliud Ngetich of Jacksonville, Florida took the men's title with a time of 1:03:39, while Aliphine Tuliamuk-Bolton of Santa Fe, New Mexico won the women's title in 1:09:48.

Marathon finishers are still coming in, but you can check the leaderboard and search for runners you're following at the results page.

Congrats to the 30,000+ runners who took part in today's Philadelphia Marathon and related events!

Spring has finally come to the Northeast U.S., and one of the prime harbingers of the season arrives Sunday, May 3rd in Philadelphia's annual 10-mile Broad Street Run. Here are some details you'll want to know for the race:

What will the weather be like in Philly on Sunday? PhillyWX posted a map on its Facebook page, with the comment, "It's going to be mostly sunny, mild, with race temperatures warming from the 50's at 8 AM into the low (or mid, depending on your pace) 60's by the time you're stumbling over the finish line."

The 2014 Philadelphia Marathon takes place this Sunday, and here is some information you'll want to know for the race, from runner tracking to course maps for the marathon and half marathon to corral info.

The runner tracking capability provides splits for 10K, half marathon, 30K, and finish, and sends these times to a cell phone number.

As before, the Rothman Institute 8K takes place Saturday morning, while the marathon and half marathon both take place Sunday morning.

Despite the freezing temperatures and snow affecting the Northeast earlier this week, the forecast for marathon Sunday is pretty tame. Forecasts are calling for temps in the 30s (up to 38) at starting time for the marathon and half marathon (7 a.m.), with a high of 50 or a few degrees more around noon.

We just posted the links to results info for the Pittsburgh Marathon, but the Keystone State's other big city also held one of its landmark races today. Results for the 2014 Broad Street Run are now posted here. Results aren't posted yet for the Broad Street Run 10-Miler, but  the results page says they'll be put online "shortly after runners cross the finish line."

You can keep refreshing that page occasionally to see if a results link is posted, and you can also check the Broad Street Run's Twitter page, @IBXRun10. Results will also be listed online at Philly.com Monday.

2012 Philadelphia Marathon - [RESULTS] Race Details, Runner Tracking, & More

UPDATE: The Philadelphia Marathon will add 3,000 spots exclusively for runners who were registered for this year's canceled New York City Marathon, it was announced today. The extra spots will be allocated by lottery, according to an article from CBS News in Philly (which was linked to on the Philly Marathon's Twitter account):

"Runners can enter a lottery beginning Wednesday, November 7th at 9 a.m. through Thursday, November 8th at 5 p.m.... Officials say the registration fee for the registered NYC Marathon runners is $200 and half of that will be donated to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund.... Lottery selection will take place immediately after the lottery registration closes on Thursday, November 8th at 5 p.m. and those chosen will be notified by e-mail."

If you meet the requirements, apply for the lottery at the Philadelphia Marathon website. Philly's mayor made the announcement Tuesday afternoon, although nothing appears yet on the race's site.

The 2012 Philadelphia Marathon and other races will take place the weekend of Nov. 16th to 18th, and you'll find some important information about the events below. The marathon and half marathon are sold out, but there are still spots available in the Rothman Institute 8K (in fact, registration for the 8K has been extended to Nov. 11th).

The marathon and half marathon take place Sunday, the 18th, while the 8K will be held on Saturday.

2010 Philadelphia Marathon Race Results

The 2010 edition of the Philadelphia Marathon took place Sunday, November 21st, and results have been posted. The official race website has been down all of Sunday morning, probably due to heavy traffic from people checking runners' times and results, but you can get Philadelphia Marathon race results at Active.com's page, which is up and operational.

At this results page you can find time for all three races held this weekend: the Philadelphia Marathon, the Philadelphia Half Marathon, and the Rothman Institute 8K. You can also find race results for previous years' races, going all the way back to 2002. And you can track runners who are currently still out on the course.

So far (Sunday at Noon, Eastern time) I haven't been able to access any page at the Philadelphia Marathon's website, www.PhiladelphiaMarathon.com.

2010 Philadelphia Marathon - Runner Tracking, Course Maps, Schedule, & More

The Philadelphia Marathon takes place Sunday, November 21st, and here are some links to help you prepare:

2008 Philadelphia Distance Run - Results

You'll find the results page for the 2008 Philadelphia Distance Run here, which will contain results when they are posted.
